Qomon, what is your political affiliation? This is a question we get all the time. And the answer is always the same: none.

‍
Because we know our place

Qomon is committed to building the best technology possible for political and nonprofit organizations. No more, no less.

Scaling volunteer operations and managing data while keeping things simple is a challenging task. It takes organization, efficiency, and the right tools. That’s where we come in: we’ll handle the logistics, you do the politics.

Our focus is on building cutting-edge technology that helps NGOs and political organizations mobilize supporters and scale their operations in the most impactful way possible. It’s our firm belief that when you do politics, you inevitably lose focus and, ultimately, the drive to innovate.

Simply put: for us, doing politics and building an ever-improving, easy-to-use product are two different focuses and two different jobs.

‍
Be part of the solution

Over the last 20 years, polarization has spread widely and become one of the biggest challenges in politics and tech, especially on social media. Software vendors haven’t been left unimpacted, and some have deepened the divide instead of bridging it.

That’s why we struggle to see how more polarizing technology is the solution. Even if it has become a habit for all of us, that doesn’t make it the right path forward.

Platforms were once a non-toxic environment, and it’s possible to get there again. If we focused on division rather than on how well our product works, we would be part of the problem, not the solution.

And we’re here to be part of the solution.

‍

We have our limits

When it comes to technology, our design and business choices reflect our core beliefs and values as an organization. Qomon exists to encourage people to come together, contribute to a greater cause and, above all, take action.

We exist because we believe in the power and agency of volunteers, and that technology should modernize and professionalize politics and nonprofits, just as it does in other industries.

That is our value proposition at its core.

This means Qomon isn’t for everyone. Some people dismiss collective action. Others believe in quick shortcuts rather than people-powered movements. Many resist bringing digital efficiency to politics and the nonprofit world, and see any modernization as unimportant. For them, we simply aren’t the right fit.

‍

And we draw clear lines

Qomon works in more than 70 countries, and values and political landscapes vary widely depending on the country and local culture. Yet we have limits, and those limits are global.

On Qomon, misinformation, harassment, hate speech, inappropriate or inaccurate content, unwanted communications, illegal activities and other harmful behavior are strictly prohibited. These guidelines are set out in full in our Terms of Use, which you can explore in detail here.

Those are our limits. Staying focused on the product doesn’t mean having no beliefs, values or limits. We believe it’s what makes us part of the solution.
