What is it?

Instead of building custom, one-off features for a single client - the classic path to fragmented products and runaway costs - Qomon offers a co-development model.

An organization, or a group of organizations, can request a new feature that isn’t yet on the product roadmap.

How does it work?

Scoping

• Our Product & Engineering teams evaluate the request.

• If it aligns with Qomon’s mission, product ethics, and long-term vision, we estimate the time, resources, and scope required.

Pricing & Contribution

• The development cost is shared between the organization and Qomon.

• The client covers part of the cost through their subscription and a reduced development fee.

• Qomon covers the rest (usually between 30% and 80%), reflecting our commitment to bringing the feature into the core product.

Timeline & Delivery

• The feature is delivered to the requesting organization within a defined timeline.

• After a private period of 3 to 12 months, exclusivity ends and the feature becomes available to all Qomon clients.

Industrialization

• After the private launch, the feature is refined, optimized, and fully integrated into Qomon’s core platform - benefiting the entire customer base.

What’s in it for organizations?

• Early access to a strategic feature.

• Lower costs compared to fully custom development.

• Direct influence on the product roadmap and on how the feature is designed for real use cases.

• No future burden: Qomon handles maintenance and ongoing improvements as part of the product.

This model perfectly reflects Qomon’s mission: advancing the world of engagement by giving our sector the best tools - innovative, scalable, and on par with the world’s leading industries - at the best cost.

What is a co-development model in software?

A co-development model lets organizations request new features and share development costs with the platform provider. Instead of building custom one-off solutions, the feature is designed for broader use and eventually integrated into the core product for all users.

How does Qomon's co-development model reduce costs for organizations?

Qomon covers between 30% and 80% of development costs, significantly reducing the financial burden on organizations. The requesting organization pays a reduced fee through their subscription. Book a Qomon demo to explore how co-development can accelerate your roadmap priorities.

Who benefits from co-developed features on Qomon?

The requesting organization gets early exclusive access for 3 to 12 months. After that period, the feature is refined, optimized, and released to all Qomon users, benefiting the entire community of political and nonprofit organizations.

Can multiple organizations collaborate on a co-development request with Qomon?

Yes. A single organization or a group of organizations can jointly request a new feature. This collaborative approach ensures the tool meets real-world needs while keeping costs manageable for everyone involved. Schedule a Qomon demo to discuss co-development opportunities for your team.

What happens to co-developed features after the exclusivity period ends?

After the private period, Qomon industrializes the feature by refining and fully integrating it into the core Go-To Action Platform. Maintenance and ongoing improvements are handled by Qomon at no additional cost to the original requesting organization.
